Site Details
Centred around the reservoir, the Ulley Country Park is located off the A618 Rotherham-Swallownest road. It was bought by Rotherham Borough Council in 1986, for the cost of £1. The defunct reservoir was designated a Country Park for recreational use and for wildlife. A visitor centre and ranger service operate in the park. Much of the interest at this site lies the area that surrounds the reservoir. The reservoir itself is not noted for its wildfowl. Habitats found in or adjacent to the country park include the open water, woodland, grassland, farmland and gorse heath.
