The area is a mosiac of small pastures with thick hedgerows, mostly only commoner grassland and farmland birds, but in some of the largest densities of anywhere in South Yorkshire.

From Sykehouse take turn adjacent the church down Chapel Lane, follow the road as it winds left and continues past a left turn and is signposted the Trans-Pennine Trail to Pollington.Access
Park in Sykehouse and Walk along the route described (see directions). Access is only along the road and Trans-Pennine Trail; however, access to some surrounding fields can be arranged (phone the contact number below).Key Areas / Routes
