Site Details
The first Hawk and Owl Trust Nature Reserve, and the newest in Norfolk. Situated in the Upper Wensum Valley 2.5km (1 mile) west of Fakenham, Norfolk, just south of the A148. The Reserve is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, consisting of reedbed, valley fen, alder carr and woodland.

Directions
From King's Lynn: Take the A148 to Fakenham and Cromer and follow this road straight, through East Rudham and past turnings to Dunton. There is a turning to Sculthorpe mill on the right and then a turning to Sculthorpe village on the left, go past these and take the next right (it's a small road almost directly opposite the 2nd turning left to Sculthorpe about 100yds before the bollards). Follow slowly down the track which will take you down to the entrance of the Reserve.Access
The reserve will be open every day but Mondays and the gates will be locked at all times outside of the opening times. Guided tours need to be arranged with the Reserve Warden.Opening Times
Between April and September open 08:00-18:00 and between October and March open 08:00-16:00.Site Photographs
