Site Details
A village in northwest Derbyshire, in the western foothills of the Pennines. The gritstone hills of Chinley Churn to the north and Eccles Pike to the south have a variety of woodland, scrubland and rough grazing habitats and have been known to attract scarce migrants such as Ring Ouzel and Great Grey Shrike.Birding Sites in the Chinley Area

Leave A6 in Chapel-en-le-Frith and follow signs towards Glossop. When the main road turns right under a railway bridge, continue straight on on B6062 to Chinley. Chinley railway station is on the Manchester Piccadilly-Sheffield line.Site Photographs
