Site Details

A village in northwest Derbyshire, in the western foothills of the Pennines. The gritstone hills of Chinley Churn to the north and Eccles Pike to the south have a variety of woodland, scrubland and rough grazing habitats and have been known to attract scarce migrants such as Ring Ouzel and Great Grey Shrike.

Leave A6 in Chapel-en-le-Frith and follow signs towards Glossop. When the main road turns right under a railway bridge, continue straight on on B6062 to Chinley. Chinley railway station is on the Manchester Piccadilly-Sheffield line.
