- Description
- It was a sunny and windless day on Saturday. Walking around Walberswick NR early morning hearing bitterns boom, reed buntings sing, marsh harriers courtship display and the “ping” of bearded reedlings. Stopping to scan a pond we saw the reed tops wobbling very close to us. Three male bearded reedlings walk up to the top and just carried on eating the seeds. Then up pops a male and female. We stood in awe at the sight as the went up and down the reeds, either oblivious or ignoring us. It was one of those special moments.
