Site Details

A Suffolk Wildlife Reserve adjacent to the Orwell Estuary. A 200 acre fresh water wetland reserve comprising of grazing marsh, scrapes, reservoir, reedbed and seasonally flooded meadows. Important for its breeding and passage waders and wintering wildfowl. Recently designated a pSPA.

Access

From the Trimley High Road, Station Road (Trimley railway station), over level crossing,Cordy's Lane. Park at Searson's Farm (small Council car park), two mile walk to the Orwell estuary and the reserve. Five hides and the Visitor centre is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
