Site Details
Part of the wider string of sites along the Lower Aire Valley known as Swillington Ings, St Aidan's is the newest RSPB site opened to the public on 25th May 2013. The 400ha site includes large areas of reedbed, wet grassland, open water, islands and pasture.

Directions
The site entrance is located opposite the junction of Astley Lane and Wood Lane at LS26 8AL. There are pedestrian entrances at a number of locations around the site and these are open 24 hours a day throughout the year. The main entrance is at SE399288.Access
There is no charge for entry onto the site.St. Aidan's Lake, Lemonroyd Lake, Astley Lake, Lowther Lake, Bowers Lake and the reedbeds are all part of the St. Aidan's site.
Parking
There is a large car park which is open from 090:00 to 20:00 in the summer and 09:30 to 17:00 in the winter. The car park is free to RSPB members and £2.50 for non-members.Opening Times
The visitor centre is open 7 days a week from 09:30 until 17:00.Facilities
There is a visitor centre with toilets and a range of refreshments located off Astley Lane in Great Preston.Site Photographs
