Site Details
Located on unclassified road which runs west from village of Woolsery (Woolfardisworthy) 8 miles from Bideford, near the Hartland Forest Golf club. Beautiful and unspoilt area of immature conifers and heathland. Full public access along track about 300yds long. Owned by Forestry Commission. Recent sightings Feb 2003 include Great Grey Shrike and Whooper Swans.Birding Sites in the Trew Plantation Area

Directions
Easiest route is from A39 Bideford-Bude. Take turning on top of Bursdon Moor signposted 'Hartland Forest Golf and Leisure Parc'. Continue past the golf club entrance towards Woolsery. Trew Wood is the second forestry track on the left after golf club.Access
No limitations/restrictions. Parking allowed at forestry entrance outside wooden barrier.Parking
