Site Details

Wetland marshes, scrapes and lagoons, with adjacent estuary. A local nature reserve owned by East Devon District Council this site is excellent for wetland birds, waders and waterfowl.

Turn off the A3052 towards Seaton right along Colyford Road, after about a mile turn left down salt pan lane, park on the right - do not obstruct access to the sewage works.


Access is restricted to two permissive paths leading to a bird hide and viewing platform. Hide is accessible for wheelchair users.


Parking for four cars at the bottom of salt pan lane.


Hexagonal bird hide offers exeptional views across the local nature reserve and adjacent estuary, log book and local bird information also availible.
