Higher Ley and parts of the reedbed are prohibited access or by permit from Field Studies Centre (in Slapton village).Parking
Car parks at Torcross and by the monument near the bridge. Car park at Strete Gate at north end.Opening Times
Any reasonable time.Facilities
Two basic wooden hides, 1 at Torcross in the car park, the other on the opposite side of the Ley. Logbook of sightings kept at ringing hut near the bridge between Higher and Lower Leys. Blackboard for sightings by fishing hut also by bridge.Key Areas / Routes
Strete Gate car park: Cirl Buntings, footpath through woods; bridge: best spot for Cetti's; footpath/nature trail: views across north end of Lower Ley; footpath from ringing hut (PERMIT ONLY): views accross farmland and extensive reedbeds, woodland at end.
