Site Details

Weather-permitting the Farne Islands are accessed by a boat ride of 20 minutes or so (operated by several different companies) from Seahouses harbour. Longer trips land on both Staple Island and Inner Farne; shorter trips land only on Inner Farne (or some just go round the islands without landing). The islands are superb in May and June for close views of nesting seabirds, as well as seals.
