Site Details

A small village surrounded by farmland on a limestone outcrop a few miles south of Ulverston on the Furness pennisula. A large lay-by at the north end of the village is sufficiently elevated to provide good views of Morecambe Bay. Access to the beach via Swinestead Lane (on foot only). Sea Wood is a key attraction 1m north of village.

Directions

From the M6 follow signs to Barrow (A590). At Ulverston take the coastal road to Bardsea. Baycliff is the next village 2 miles south of Bardsea.

Free public access.

Parking

Lay-by north of village.

Facilities

Baycliff Farm Shop, Fisherman's Hotel, Farmers Public House. Public toilets at Bardsea (2 miles north of Baycliff).
