Site Details
Fetcham Splash is on the River Mole just outside Leatherhead. There is a pleasant riverside walk on the north side from here south east to Leatherhead (approx 2 km). Public footpath passes through Common Meadow (flat, open meadow). Crack willow and alder trees on south bank. Mixed deciduous wood at Crematorium. Some scrub. Directions
Access from River Lane (untarmaced lane off Randalls Road A245, Leatherhead) near Randalls Park Crematorium and Fetcham Football club. Alternatively, approach River Lane from Fetcham (off the intersection of Cobham Road/The Street). You can walk north west to it from Leatherhead Bridge in Leatherhead town centre.Access
No access restrictions, but you do pass through the lawns of the crematorium, which go right down to the river.Parking
From Randalls Road end: park down River Lane, by the football ground, before reaching the first house. From Fetcham: park down River Lane at the very end. From Leatherhead town centre, park in the pay and display car park in Bridge St, Leatherhead (by the pub).Facilities
There is a noticeboard and map at the Leatherhead end of the river.Key Areas / Routes
Fetcham Splash bridge, south east direction along the north bank of the river, past Leatherhead Crematorium, along Common Meadow, to the railway bridge, Leatherhead Bridge.
