Directions
From the A2100 (The Ridge West) on the northwest side of Hastings between the caravan park and the golf course the B2092 (Queensway) runs south. About 1/2 mile down, Napier Road comes off East; the footpath access is opposite this road, TQ784122. Various footpaths cover the reserve. Wishing Tree Reservoir is further south down the B2092 at TQ780105. It is not part of the reserve but is directly south of it.Access

Alder Marsh is reached by turning right along a narrow path as soon as you enter the main part of Marline Wood. The meadows are reached by following the main path through the wood, not by taking the path that runs over the stream which takes you into farmland. The spoil heap is obvious from the road as a large patch of gorse and can be reached from the roadside or by walking through the meadows until you reach it.Did you know that you can submit photographs to be included in this sites image gallery?
