Site Details

Former gravel diggings form substantial lakes that enjoy gulls, terns, etc. during the summer and wintering wildfowl plus waders and other passage migrants. Located close to the English Channel, adjacent to MOD land and farmed fields.

Take the B2075 from the A2059 towards Lydd and then follow road signs for Camber and Rye; the pits are approx. 2 miles west of Lydd and straddle the Kent/Sussex border.


Several, side off the road pull ins, and parking along the entrance track to Scotney Farm. Please park sensibly.
