A chap who used to be a birdwatcher but is now more of a golfer spotted this bird on Saturday and Sunday at the east end of the golf course at Morfa Nefyn on the sea, whilst playing golf. He sent this photo of the bird to me to ID it as he didn't know what it was, and I had a bit of a shock when I opened it! An hour long search late afternoon was uproductive today, but there were only 3 birders and a lot of suitable coastline.I'm sure it's not far away. I'm waiting for him to get back in touch so I can find out more details, so thats the story so far! I wouldn't all rush down there yet but it wouldn't do any harm if there were a few people looking.
