This juvenile male landed and posed well for a few minutes. Juveniles can easily be mistaken for a female, but can be easily told apart by, 1. Juvenile males have very heavy barring on the chest. 2. Males are notably smaller since Females are abouet 61% larger, which is no doubt why they always "rule the nest!" (I certainly wouldn't argue with anything that much bigger than myself).
