Puffin by Carl Bovis
Puffins are such photogenic birds. The species' characterful appearance and charming, playful personality means they serve up a multitude of great photo opportunities. Carl Bovis has long been submitting Puffin shots to the BirdGuides gallery and this one particularly stood out, for not only has he caught the facial expression from an unusual and striking angle, but the image is nice and sharp, and Carl has cropped well to produce an intimate yet dynamic photo that captures the species well and is deserving of POTW. Congratulations!
