Bushtits (also known as long-failed tits) are small, short-billed birds with rounded wings and bodies and long tails. They feed in active flocks that move constantly through their woodland and scrub habitats, agilely gleaning insects and communicating via continuous contact calls. Most species are found in Eurasia, only American Bushtit (Psaltriparus minimus) being a bird of the New World. Long-tailed Tit (Aegithalos caudatus) is the most widespread and familiar species, occurring across Eurasia from Western Europe to Japan. Like  American Bushtit, it sometimes attends bird feeders, though it feeds mostly on insects and other invertebrates.
