Possibly the dullest-looking moth I’ve ever posted, but interesting nonetheless. I have seen and photographed Oak Nycteoline before, but this nondescript individual had me convinced it was a micro of some description. I’d noticed the distinctive long palps, but it took a consultation with our Cheshire micro-moth guru Steve Hind to direct me to their significance in identifying this very small macro-moth.
