Yellow-legged gulls have significantly reduced the number of coots at this site and it has become increasingly rare to see chicks. This is one of 3 that have survived for more than a week and they are still staying in the reeds at the water-side. They are not the prettiest of birds but I thought this one was endearing as it reached towards the spider's web. A few seconds only and nice to catch.
Equipment
Canon 60D with EF70-200mm lens and Extender EF2xiii. Handheld.
