I was delighted to see Knots on my little pool here. The pool is 100m from the sea and is like a permanent mudflat. It is salty and full of food. Knots are regular passage migrants in very small numbers and the 4 here is the largest number I have ever seen here om the Circeo Nat. Pk. on one day !! Forget Hilbre, think the Isthmus. Joking apart, we are the only oasis within 100 km in a country seathing with hunters. My knot were very lucky to reach me, presumably from Taymyr, and wish them well on their journey, perhaps to the Gambia.
Equipment
Panasonic Lumix TZ20 with Leica lens, on macro with one stop down, hand held to a Nikon HD 30 x 82 telescope.
