Sunbittern (Eurypyga helias) is the sole member of the Eurypygidae family. It is found in northern South America and Central America and has a has a generally subdued coloration, but with vividly coloured wing feathers used in display and to startle predators. It has a heron-like bill which it uses to is forage for insects in its forest-floor habitat.
