Description

My last contribution from a 6 week transatlantic cruise which had 17 stops and lots of Ocean. A 12,000 mile pelagic had very little to show for it ( it's a huge wilderness out there}and the stops were often in unlikely birding places. However one visit outshone the others by a mile. Ille du Salut, famous for the Devils island prison.If you get the chance it's certainly worth the visit but as French Guiana hadn't featured in the Birdguides gallery until now I guess it's not easy to get to from the UK.
