Medium-sized stone-banked reservoir adjacent to Swallows Wood nature reserve. Will be affected by proposed Mottram/Hollingworth/Tintwistle bypass.

Directions
From eastbound A628 (Woodhead Pass road) between Hollingworth and Tintwistle, turn left into Crossgate Lane. Park on left after c. 100 yards and follow footpath beyond fishery car park to left. This skirts the northeastern side of the reservoir, with reasonable views, and continues to Swallows Wood (nature reserve with mixed woodland and overgrown ponds).Access
