Site Details

The largest (and second highest) of the upland reservoirs beside the A628 Woodhead Pass road in Longdendale. Used for sailing.

Almost unrestricted views from adjoining roads, Pennine Way over dam, permitted path (north side between the dam and Crowden), and Trans-Pennine Trail to south.

Free car parking by Trans-Pennine Trail at Torside, off B6105 Crowden-Glossop road (SK088983).

Any time.

Facilities

Information point, picnic area, mobile refreshments and toilets at Torside car park.
