Site Details

This is the largest of the Sea Bank Clay Pits, which provided clay for sea bank repairs after the 1953 floods. There is a large open water area as well as extensive reedbeds.

Visitors are advised that they should not walk round the pit.

Parking

There is parking at the Huttoft Car Terrace, from where it is about a 0.8-km (0.5 mile) walk to the reserve.
