Site Details
Picturesque loch at south end of Castle Douglas holding SSSI status. There are a couple of small islands, and a crannog lurks just under the surface near Ash Island. The "Carlingwark Countryside Path" circular walk will take you around the lochBirding Sites in the Carlingwark Loch Area
