Site Details
The coast between Weybourne and Sheringham Cliffs TG112437 to TG150436 can be superb for migrants during either season and can be a good vantage point for observing wintering seabirds. The cliff top path starts at the Weybourne beach car park and continues eastwards for just over two miles. Take care not to approach the crumbling cliff edge too closely. The walk passes set-aside, arable fields and Sheringham golf course.

The cliff top path can be approached from either the Weybourne or the Sheringham end, at both of which parking is available.At the western (Weybourne) end, leave the A149 coast road in Weybourne village and drive north along Beach Road (almost directly opposite the Ship Inn) and park in the pay and display car park behind the beach.
Sheringham end: from the west along the A149 coast road, take the first turning left after the police station (Church Street), drive over the railway bridge and turn left into The Boulevard. Go straight across at the roundabout by the War Memorial and park along the upper promenade. To walk westwards along the cliff top path to Weybourne, stay on this upper level and walk through the gap between the cliffs and the golf course. To reach the seawatching shelters on the lower promenade, walk under the archway between the toilets and take the steps down to the lower prom. This is the area known as The Leas, which has become very popular for seawatching. Limited seating is available and in order to guarantee a seat during a northerly gale in autumn, a pre-dawn arrival is often necessary!
