Site Details

Public footpath from Powderham Church to Turf Lock. Crosses railway line then has good views over the Exe Estuary. Also Powderham Park, including lake and River Kenn which attract wildfowl and waders, visible from minor road between Powderham Church and Starcross.

Directions

Access to Powderham Marshes RSPB, adjacent to Exminster Marshes, is from the left-hand corner of the car park of the Swan's Nest pub. There is a public right of way from near Powderham Church north along the Exe Estuary shore to Turf Lock and beyond. Also several public footpaths and a concessionary cycle path from minor road between Powderham and Starcross across fringes of Powderham Park to Kenton.

Park in road or in Powderham Church car park. (Latter NOT Sunday mornings; donation requested.)
