Site Details

A small village on the southwest side of Ballinskelligs Bay, Ballinskelligs offers a small beach which attracts waders and gulls outside the summer months. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy further views over the bay, and thus the wintering Common Scoter flock as well as other seaduck, auks and divers. Given the vilage's geographical position at the southwestern tip of the Iveragh Peninsula, gardens and fields in the area may well produce migrants. However, the area has hardly (if at all) been explored for passerines.
