Site Details
Village beside the west shore of the Exe Estuary with good estuary views from the footpath alongside the railway line on the estuary shore and the Exmouth ferry jetty. Also ('Oak Meadow') Golf Course used by feeding and roosting wildfowl and waders in winter and fields between Staplake Mount (Environment Agency) Laboratories and main road which occasionally flood.

Directions
On A379 from Exeter to Dawlish. Railway crossing points towards the north end of the village (just south of the public car park; SX976821) and at the railway station give best estuary views and access to the shore. The Exmouth ferry jetty is also accessible from the railway station and gives good views of the deeper mid channel and the breakwater used by roosting Turnstone. The golf course is just south of the village and is visible from the main road and a minor road to the west.Parking
