Site Details
The largest natural lake in south Wales, attracting good numbers of wintering wildfowl including pochard, tufted duck, goldeneye, teal, shoveler, and pintail. The lake is relatively shallow and nutrient-rich, with vegetated edges good for breeding water birds and reed warblers. Great crested grebes breed here, and water rails are frequently heard near the bird hide. This is just the sort of site to turn up unusual birds among the commoner species.

Parking
Plenty of space in parking areas on the north side of the lake, small parking area near Llangasty Church on the south side. No charge.Facilities
Hide on south side, accessed via public footpath (10mins walk - wellies required in winter and after wet weather). Displays in hide and display boards near parking areas on both north and south sides.
