Site Details

Daventry Country Park covers 140 acres, of which 70 acres is occupied by Daventry Reservoir (when full). The reservoir is owned by the British Waterways Board, is 10m deep at its deepest point, and is used to top up the Grand Union Canal. Over 180 species of birds have been seen here with 40 to 50 breeding. About 240 species of flowering plant occur here including 10 species rare to Northamptonshire.
