Directions

Eldernell is reached by taking the minor road north off the A605 just east of Coates at TL315976. Continue north to the end of the road, where there is a small car park. The best area of the washes is reached by walking west along the bank past Lord's Holt wood to view from TL309990. Eldernell Pit is situated just to the south of the bank, west of the car park.
