Site Details
Large area of dunes famed for the variety of orchids, including the rare Fen Orchid, and other wild plants. It has a wide range of habitats and attracts a variety of birds species ranging from wildfowl and waders to raptors and passerines. There is a 30-hectare pool surrounded by reed beds and sallows. Between the pool and the coast are the sand dunes through which one can walk to the coast at Sker Point, where there are rocks and a sandy beach.

Directions
To get there take the Pyle exit off the M4, go left at the roundabout at the end of the off slip, then right at the next roundabout. Follow this road through for about 2 miles and then turn left when you reach the open area with dunes, where there is a sign to the reserve.Access
There is free access to the reserve, where there are two hides, although during the summer you are asked to avoid the sallows and reed beds. Wellies usually necessary especially in winter when it can be very wet.Parking
