Directions

A55 to Holyhead; then follow brown RSPB South Stack signposts on minor roads (c. 2 miles west of Holyhead).

Access

From the car park follow the footpath to Ellin's Tower, which is staffed as an RSPB information centre from Easter to mid September, 11.00am to 5.00pm. The seabirds breeding on the cliff ledges can be viewed from here. The road can be followed to the car park at the end, from which a long flight of steps leads down to the lighthouse. This is now open to the public and gives good views of the breeding birds. Tickets should be bought at the cafe next to the RSPB reserve.
Footpaths starting here can be followed along the headland to North Stack. There is an additional charge for access to the lighthouse.

Parking

Small car park on left of approach road and a second larger car park near Ellin's Tower.
