Site Details
The habitat behind the Marram Hills can often hold migrants during passage periods. Explore the area thoroughly. The area and gardens around the "Shangri-La" cottage are well known for harbouring migrants and rarities can be found here with luck. Work the areas along the dunes for migrants. Further south along the B1159 towards Horsey, the areas around Brograve and Walnut Farm should be scanned for swans, raptors and Common Cranes. The area north of Horsey Corner car park to Waxham Sands holiday camp and beyond often holds a good range of spring and autumn migrants in appropriate conditions. However, please be aware that there is no official right of way through the holiday camp - please respect residents' privacy, and note that two large guard dogs may be running loose, especially early morning.
