Site Details

Located 3 miles north of Ashington, Linton Lane is a reserve with two medium-sized ponds created following opencasting. The site has some reedbed and also extensive extensive surrounding grassland.

Directions

Take the A1068 north out of Ashington and follow the road to the first roundabout. Turn left and follow the minor road for 1.5km crossing the railway line. Take second turn on right after railway line and park at the end of the road. Use the gate at the end of the road to cross the line and follow footpaths (east or west) to view ponds from hides.

Parking at dead end end of road.

Any reasonable time.

Facilities

Two hides one on either pond.
