Site Details
Wet grassland adjacent to River Swale attracts 1000s of geese, ducks and waders during the winter, along with Marsh Harrier, Merlin, Peregrine and Short-eared Owl. In the summer many waders, including Avocet, breed at Elmley.

The site is signposted off the A249 to Sheerness on the Isle of Sheppey, 1 mile beyond the Kings Ferry bridge.Access
Good access. RSPB members free, non-member adults £2.50, children 50p. Concessions.Parking
Car park with toilets on the reserve.Opening Times
09.00 to 21.00, except when sunset is earlier. Closed Tuesdays.Facilities
Car park, toilets, noticeboard. There is a 1.25 mile (2 km) walk to the nearest hide and a 6 mile (9 km) walk that includes the furthest hide. Special arrangements can be made for the disabled. There are 5 hides in all.Key Areas / Routes
