Site Details

A large lough in northwest Connemara, characterized by surrounding moor-covered mountains and margins lined with rhododendrons.

Directions

From Leenaun, take the N59 west towards Clifden. Approximately 1.5km after the N59 cuts south inland from the shoreline of the sea lough, two right hand turns appear in quick succession. Take the second of these, signposted to Tully Cross. Follow the minor road for a further 1.5km and the lake opens up on the left hand side.
