Site Details

A large freshwater lough on the west side of the Mullet Peninsula, attracting good numbers of wildfowl (including a regular flock of Scaup) and gulls in winter, with some waders recorded during the autumn, particularly if water levels are low.

Directions

A minor road, signposted to Cross Lough off the R313, circumnavigates much of the north shore and gives excellent views across the lake. Viewing from the car will ensure that birds are not flushed.
