Site Details
One of the most famous 'gulling' sites in western Ireland, Nimmo's Pier is a name synonymous with any winter trip to the region. Gulls can be found anywhere from the roadbridge/weir on the River Corrib to the end of the pier on Claddagh Beach, although one of the favoured areas is the small slipway where locals feed the swans by the road at M297246.

Directions
Nimmo's Pier is situated in the centre of Galway and, if coming from the east, follow signs towards the docks and then Salthill. If coming along the coast road from the west in to Salthill, continue to hug the coast eastwards until reaching the River Corrib. There is a small car park by the slipway, while roadside parking is also possible. Claddagh Beach is a short walk south along the pier from the slipway.Site Photographs
