A large lake on the south side of Loughrea town that attracts decent numbers of wildfowl in winter, with occasional rarities such as Lesser Scaup, Ring-necked Duck and Smew recorded.

The car park off the R351 at M624151 offers extensive views over the south side of the lake, while the north side of the lake can be viewed from various points along the N66 Gort Road.
