Description
The only day with sunshine, this little sprite got my attention when I heard his high pitch call in the trees above me. I personally find spotted flycatchers somewhat unusual for a songbird as their pied cousens have a beautiful melody that echoes through woodlands and yet these spotted flycatchers have what I can only describe as a jangled high-pitched warbling.
