Site Details

A hidden RSPB reserve, tucked away on the outskirts of Motherwell. The reserve covers over 100 hectares and takes in areas of wetland, woodland, as well as a section of the River Clyde. You can find a wide range of both breeding birds and winter visitors.

Directions

From Junction 6 of the M74, take the road to Motherwell. Bear right at the next traffic lights sign posted to Wishaw. Turn right at the third mini-roundabout, and follow the road to the junction, turn left then immediately right to enter the reserve.

Reserve open at all times.


Facilities

Car park, nature trails, and four hides.
