Balgavies Loch lies north off the A932, 4 miles east of Forfar.Access
Access to most of the reserve requires prior permission and is restricted during the breeding season, but there is a viewpoint just off the A932 which is open at all times. The hide is open at weekends - otherwise a key is available from the ranger at Montrose Wildlife Centre (£5 deposit, £2 refund if returned). This key also fits the hides at Loch of Lintrathen. Park next to the hide, and at the viewing point, where there is an interpretative board.Did you know that you can submit photographs to be included in this sites image gallery?
