A lovely woodland, exceptionally popular with lepidopterists as it holds nationally important levels of species such as Purple Emperor.

Reached from the Tytherley road (SU263292) and follow the track in for 1/4 mile until you reach the small car park on the right.

Drive up dirt track and then walk to key areas.

Key Areas / Routes

The car park itself holds Purple Emperors during the season. There are a couple of clearings that are good for Pearl-bordered Fritillary and other commoner species.
