Site Details
A 171-hectare reserve bought by the RSPB in 1989. It is predominantly wet grassland but also has farmland, woodland, hedgerows and other habitats. Main bird interest is in winter with many species of waterfowl and over-wintering raptors. There is also passage of waders in the spring and autumn and a wide range of breeding birds including Nightingale, Lesser Whitethroat and chats.

Car - off the A283 between Pulborough and Storrington. Bus - buses from Pulborough railway station, Arundel and Worthing.Access
RSPB members free. Small charge for non-members. Permits available from the visitor centre at Upperton's Barn. Centre closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day.Parking

Trail open 9am to sunset. Visitor centre open 10am to 5pm.Facilities
