Site Details

300 acres nature reserve, owned and managed by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. The reserve comprises a mosaic of habitats including lowland wet grassland, open water, reedbed, drains and ditches, seasonal pools, willow coppice and mature hedgerows.

Directions

Easy access from M6 Junction 14 - Leave the motorway at this junction and head south towards Stafford along the Eccleshall Road A5013. Take the first turning on the right to access the main reserve car park. This turning is sign posted with a brown tourist sign. Follow the road (Creswell Farm Drive/Wootton Drive) through the housing estate, down a slight hill and around the bend until you reach the car park and the playground.

Access

Keep to footpaths as marked on maps.

Parking

Parking at official Trust car park signposted from Eccleshall Road, near to junction 14 M6. Also at Sainsbury's car park in Stafford to walk up river to reserve.

One hide, several viewing platforms.
